Recital Halls

Anne and Howard Gottlieb Hall
Opened in 2005, Anne and Howard Gottlieb Hall is the crown jewel of Merit's state-of-the-art Joy Faith Knapp Music Center. With superb acoustics and seating for 372, Anne and Howard Gottlieb Hall has quickly become one of the premier chamber music venues in Chicago. This outstanding performance space also boasts a control room with recording capabilities and a projection screen specially sized for the stage.

Foreman Hall
With a seating capacity of around 150, this mid-sized hall is truly multipurpose. Whether you are planning your next corporate lunch meeting, recital or ensemble rehearsal, Foreman Hall can easily accommodate your needs.

Polk Bros. Hall
Intimate, yet versatile, Polk Bros. Hall, the smallest of Merit's three recital halls, is ideal for smaller meetings, rehearsals or luncheons.

Recording
With construction completed in 2007, the Steans Recording Studio is ready to be used. Make professional quality recordings of your live performance directly from both Foreman and Anne and Howard Gottlieb Hall.
