Dynamic Starts
Tuition
$395, plus a $15 registration fee
- Instrument loans are available for students who qualify based on financial need.
- Financial aid is available.
Schedule
Classes meet once a week for 30 weeks, on weekday evenings beginning September 22, 2008 to
May 22, 2009. In the event Merit closes due to weather or other factors, make-up classes
will be held the week of May 26 and June 1, 2009. All classes listed below are for first
year students unless otherwise noted.
Brass
- Trombone — Tuesday, 5:00 pm – 5:40 pm (Ages 9 to 12)
- Trumpet 1 — Tuesday, 5:00 pm – 5:40 pm (Ages 9 to 12)
- Trumpet 2 (Second year students only) — Tuesday, 5:45 pm – 6:25 pm (Ages 9 to 12)
- French Horn — Tuesday, 5:00 pm – 5:40 pm (Ages 9 to 12)
In addition to their small group instrumental instruction class, brass,
woodwind and percussion students also participate in the Dynamic Starts Band.

Children’s Choir Passport
Learning to sing can be very beneficial to a student’s musical development. Dynamic Starts
students have the opportunity to add the Merit Children’s Choir at a discounted rate of $100.
