Beginner Guitar Classes Grades 4 - 8

These classes provide the building blocks for beginning guitar players. Each student will require a classical guitar with nylon strings.

Students will learn:
• to play the guitar using proper posture and strumming technique
• to recognize the parts of the musical staff, note names and time signatures
• to count simple rhythms
• scales, arpeggios and chords in 1st and 2nd positions

Students will showcase their progress to family and friends at an informal concert at the end of the class.

SCHEDULE Classes meet twice per week (7 weeks)
TUITION $295 per session plus $10 nonrefundable registration fee

Merit instrument loan program is available
