The Instrument and College Tuition Savings Program

The Instrument and College Tuition Savings Program was established in 2002 as a money–saving tool for Merit students who will be financially unable to purchase their own college level instrument upon completion of their studies at Merit. Each participating student solicits donations from their families and communities. The donations they collect are then placed in a personal interest-bearing savings account that will be presented to them for instrument purchase or college tuition upon graduation from the Merit School of Music.

Students that are currently enrolled in any Merit Program may participate in the Savings Program. This year 5 students were able to purchase instruments with the funds from their accounts.

If you are interested in signing up for the Savings Program, please pick up an application in the Merit Music Library. For more information, please contact Shalisa Kline Ugaz at 312.267.4465.
