Make a donation to Merit's Annual Fund, and give a child the gift of music!

Representing the loyalty of more than 1,000 donors every year, the Merit School of Music Annual Fund is an integral part of the school's overall fundraising efforts. More than just a collection of gifts, the Annual Fund is a catalyst for turning individual generosity into collective energy.

Merit School of Music has provided high-quality, comprehensive music instruction to more than 50,000 students since its founding in 1979. More than 95% of our students receive financial assistance from Merit. Our unwavering commitment to improving children's lives by providing exceptional music instruction at an affordable price is made possible by the generosity of our donors. Please consider supporting the Annual Fund and help us provide the highest quality instruction while eliminating barriers to participation.

Make a Donation

All donors to Merit's Annual Fund will be listed in Merit's Annual Report (for gifts received July 1 - June 30) and annual Performathon program (for gifts received July 1 - December 31).

Merit also specially recognizes donors distinguished by their loyal support or their ability to make leadership gifts.

Merit Bravo Society
Donors who make an unrestricted gift of $5,000 or more will be invited to join the Merit Bravo Society. Members of the Merit Bravo Society are listed on a donor recognition board at the Joy Faith Knapp Music Center, in addition to listing with special recognition in the Annual Report (for gifts received July 1 - June 30) and Performathon program (for gifts received July 1 - December 31).

Fermata Society
Donors that give three or more consecutive years to Merit’s Annual Fund will automatically become members of the Fermata Society.  Members of the Fermata Society will be recognized in the Annual Report (for gifts received July 1 - June 30) and Performathon program (for gifts received July 1 - December 31).
