Gifts of Securities

Another way individuals and companies can make a contribution to Merit School of Music is through a donation of stock or other securities. Such a gift may offer additional tax benefits by mitigating capital gains. Please call Ellen Gibbon, Development Associate, at 312.676.3692 or .

If you donate securities to Merit School of Music, please notify us of your gift, the date of the gift and the number of shares so that we can acknowledge your contribution properly. Click here for more information on how to make such a transfer.

Gifts of Property

Merit School of Music will gladly accept donations of instruments in working order and new or gently used sheet music and music supplies.

When making a donation of property, you will be asked to complete and sign a Property Donation Form. This form will serve as your receipt for the gift. To discuss delivering a gift to Merit or if you have questions about donating property, please call 312.786.9428.
